Our Trial Run

When  our RV arrived, we decided together that we should take it for a trial run to learn to know the camper and learn to know each other a bit more.  Barb invited us to her place, where she lives on the farm  with her son and his family, They have a beautiful pond in the meadow, and a camping spot that they have used over the years.  Last Thursday til Saturday we set up camp and enjoyed 2 lovely days of relaxing with gorgeous weather!
First thing on the agenda was leveling the motor home.....no easy
feat with a meadow that slopes toward the pond!  Barb's son Dean spent 1- 1/2 hours trying different angles until he perfected it.          THANK YOU , DEAN!!

After that it did not take us long until  we were all set up,
ready to relax and enjoy!

(The other camper is Barb's permanent site.)

This was Marie's first time camping! She quickly became a pro,
and  cooked a delicious meal over the open fire!

We decided to call our evening meal "supper" since we are all country folk!
Supper  was spicy shrimp over rice and mixed vegetables and salad!  YUM!

🎜Day is dying in the West, Heaven is touching earth with rest🎝
Enjoying the glow of the fire at dusk.

The pond is home to some beautiful Koi fish!

Friday morning we made yummy breakfast sandwiches in mountain pie makers.
Saturday morning we enjoyed these yogurt parfaits with fresh strawberries from the garden!

After breakfast we decided to go shopping at the Mennonite Mall, Weaver's of Fivepointville, just over the hill and around the corner.  When we returned we grabbed a quick lunch and then started packing up to head out. It seemed to take us quite awhile, but after doing it a few times I am sure it will go more smoothly. We all agreed , it was a fun two days! Looking forward to leaving for Alaska next week!  Until then....MEBS

I noticed you mentioned this was Marie's first time camping. Well, she's adventurous! I expect by the time the trip is completed you will all have done a lot of "firsts!" :)
