Sunday-June 25-Day 5- A Day of Rest, Worship, Fellowship and Bees

Sunday morning dawned bright and clear! We had a simple breakfast of coffee, rhubarb bread from Freeman,  spread with canola honey from Bob and  Doris!  Tasty! and Musty! ( Must have some more!😉)  We  went along to Disciples of Christ Mennonite Church which meets in the senior center in Bemidji.  After an inspiring and worshipful service, we enjoyed a delicious meal together, and fellowship just as sweet.

                                                     

At church we met  Bob and Doris's son and his wife, Japheth  & Aimee. They have 10 children, and have this bus, "The Quiver" as their family transportation.

Across the street was Japheth's business, a sewing machine and vacuum cleaner store, A Stitch in Time.

Back at the Stauffers we rested, and then Marie decided she wanted to visit Bob's Bees. So he gave her a get-up for protection and they got up close and personal.

Ready to go in pink flowered boots, teal polka dot baggy pants, a jacket with a zip on head protection, gloves that cover her whole arm!

Bees flying all around, but NO STINGS!

And then Bob took us to see the Lady Slippers

 on the Lady Slipper Scenic  Byway!

They were blooming in all the glory given to them by our Creator!

"Back at the ranch" we enjoyed a snack-type supper.....popcorn, apples with peanut butter, cheese, crackers, grapes,  cranberry bread and honey. These times not only nourished our bodies, but our souls and spirits as well.
