We got up bright and early ( which is not difficult, with it getting light so early!) and left the Stauffer's and their cute little homestead at 7:30 .
The road and the miles stretched out before us. 1500 miles until our next destination, Mile 66 on the Alaska Highway.
We enjoyed the scenery and the small towns we passed through on Highway 2 across northern Minnesota .
Minnesota: the Land of 10,000 Lakes, of which we passed many.
We were welcomed to North Dakota as we crossed the Red River.
We took a break to have lunch in the motor home.....and to check facebook! 😊😊
Little farmsteads nestled in among the hills of North Dakota.
Changing scenery gave a variety of interest.
Fields of canola just starting to bloom.
We passed miles and miles of railroad tracks and many trains.
We were hoping to cross the border today but only drove 400 miles (we stopped too often! 😧) and found this little gravelly, dusty campground in Kenmare, ND, 40 miles short of our goal.
So interesting! I clicked on each picture to see it really big. It's like another world up there!
ReplyDeleteI also especially enjoyed the picture of Bob and Doris's house.
