Wednesday-June 21-Day 1- And we are off!

The alarm rang too soon at 4 AM but it wasn't long until we were bright eyed and bushy tailed! With a prayer on our lips, and our mugs full of fresh hot coffee, we hit the road at 5:38. We sailed around Harrisburg without a problem and headed west on 322 to Route 80.
Travel went well. With only 8-9 miles to the gallon, we were happy to find lower gas prices!

And here is what we did to pass the time!

We  arrived at Matt and Angi's near Goshen, Indiana around 5:30  Six hundred miles down, 11,400 to go! We brought supper....baked chicken pie, salad, applesauce, watermelon and whoppie pies. We set up camp in their driveway.

At the end of the day we hung out in the A/C in the motorhome until bedtime. Matt mounted our GPS and back-up camera. Thanks Matt! It was a good day!
How do you like Barb's head dress? More about those roses later!
