Thursday- June 29-Day 9 At the Carroll's

A relaxing day stretched out before us as we woke to the crow of the rooster! Robert is a teacher, so he and Charles (Robert and Mildred's 16 year old son) left for the last day of school. Mildred and I both enjoy coloring, so after breakfast of crockpot oatmeal and fruit, we sat on the porch  and colored! And chatted, of coarse!

For lunch Mildred made delicious tuna melts and salad.

We did our laundry for the first time since we left home, and it was a large pile!  We had no clean clothes left! And I am sure I am among the very few who take an iron on a camping trip!!😊

Robert is a master gardener!
The Bleeding  Hearts were really showy!

In the evening the neighbors, Peter and Joka Hooganboom
came for supper, as well as the Carroll's daughter,  Mary, and her four daughters. The porch is a relaxing place for hanging out!
Barb used her culinary skills to create these colorful veggie trays!
The ladies were hanging out in the kitchen.

Mildred made a scrumptious shrimp pasta salad to serve with the veggie trays. For dessert Mary brought  two delicious cobblers: peach and rhubarb. Mary is one on the left, with her sister Larita to her left. Larita and her two small children live in the basement of the house. Larita's middle name is Elaine, named after me over 20 years ago!  It was the end of a relaxing day!
