We got up  early on this beautiful Lord's Day. After a full breakfast at the Comfort Inn, 

we headed west toward New Glasgow.  We again passed by so much beautiful farmland!  

I love red barns, and get pictures of them whenever I can. 

That pop of red just adds a dynamic dimension to countryside pictures!

 We had heard about this Mennonite Church in Nova Scotia and had decided to join them for worship this morning.  The Sunday School started at 10 AM, which gave us time to drive there from Truro.

 The service was more traditional to the conservative side of the Mennonites,

but we had a beautiful time of worshipping our Lord together.

After the service was over, I met some folks who migrated to Canada from Belize years ago.  I found out they were living with  the Bluecreek settlement of Mennonites in Belize when John was living down there from 1969-1971. The husband was 3 years younger than John at the time.

The ministers wife invited us home for dinner.  What a neat experience!  Abe and Delphine Plett  welcomed us into their home with a delicious meal and sweet fellowship!

The home cooked meal tasted so good after eating in restaurants for a week!

Five of their ten children are still at home....Stanley and Douglas are the boys.  The girls were Sharon, Sharlene, Denise, and one of their friends Helena. Delphine's father is with them for a visit.

We said our good-byes and thank-yous around mid-afternoon, and headed to our destination for tonight. The Cove Motel is situated on a 7 acre peninsula near Auld's Cove,

 just off the Trans-Canada highway, south of Cape Breton.

 Basking in the sunshine across the driveway from the main door is this cute little lighthouse!

Around the front door are planted these beautiful evergreens!

They are so perfect they almost seem artificial!

Sitting beside  the long driveway to the Cove Motel were several blue

"bobbers"!  I had thought they were anchors! But they are hollow inside.

Every evening all week we needed to drag our luggage into the motel, and out again in the morning.
But we are staying here two nights. so no need to pack up in the morning! Yea!!

 After getting settled into our rooms, we took some of our food outside and had a bayside picnic!

Balogna and cheese sticks. Carrots and peanut butter. Blueberries. Apple slices. Cookies from the bakery yesterday. Just right for a Sunday night supper!

 This lovely little loon entertained us for awhile before darkness set in.
