Saturday-July 29-Day 39-Moving On toward Yellowstone.

Today we said our good-byes to Darryl and Rosanne and their children. Rosanne's mother was Marie's older sister, and they resemble each other. The children told Marie she smiles like their Oma did. It seems they have a special attachment to Marie as a remembrance of their grandma.

 As we headed down the road, we passed still reflective waters,.....and water rushing on it's way to larger pastures.
 

About 10 miles down the road we stopped at Rosanne's daughter Liz and Sheldon Wengard. They are well supplied with wild game meat and Marie wanted to buy some to take home. 

 So she filled the freezer.

There are a lot of cattle grazing in the roadside pastures, at the foot of the mountains.

 And here we passed under another wildlife crossing bridge.

 We again stopped at Belknap.....Troyers Store....the one we had stopped at on Wednesday on the way to the Gingerich's. Marie bought a case of cherries, hoping she will still have some left by the time we get home!  We washed 3 pounds, and ate them as a snack all day long!  The box was empty by the end of the day! Yum!(the box of washed ones!  Not the case!😊)

As we drive along, miles passing under our wheels, the changing scenery entertains us!

On Route 90 we drove across the Continental Divide, which is a place the road that goes way up on a long curvey hill , and then way down on a long curvey hill!! It is impossible to capture a picture of the road, with my little camera. But it was quite an adventure!

 Farm buildings nestled at the foot of the mountains....with acres of ranch land all around.

Sun beams broke through the clouds creating a beautiful glow on the mountainside!

After 360 miles we arrived at Ennis, Montana in time to grab a bowl of soup at Alley Bistro, a recommendation from a local.
(Soup to the rescue again!  The Saturday night entree's were just too pricey for our appetites! Creamy Chicken Corn Chowder did the trick!))

We settled in for the night at a lovely place, Ennis RV Park.
It was a delightful evening after a delightful day!
